Long knitted necklace (d. 5 mm) with two rams' heads of individually cut amethysts - slightly chipped - and a jewellery element set with a round cabochon cut ruby. Weight of the necklace 151,2g. A pair of earclips marked 750/000 yellow gold, ram's heads set with 10 small rubies - slightly chipped. Weight 21,2g

Ilias Lalaunis (1920-2013) was one of the most renowned goldsmiths in Greece. His high-quality goldsmith's work is often inspired by Minoan and Mycenaean art. His clients included Jackie Kennedy-Onassis, widow of the Shah of Persia Farah Diba Pahlavi, Barbara Streisand and Queen Sophia of Spain.
